KINGSVILLE COUNCIL OF THE NAVY LEAGUE |

On Saturday, 22 January, Dick Nelson, President; and Dick Messbarger, First Vice President and VP for Legislative Affairs attended a Navy League Lone Star Region Meeting in Houston, TX.
National Navy League President, Sheila McNeil was present and informed the Texas Region members about the National Navy League Legislative Agenda for 2005. The meeting also kicked off a grassroots legislative program for the Navy League and provided training from National about how best to make this program productive.
Dick Messbarger has been nominated by the Kingsville Council President as our VP for Legislative Affairs to work with Navy League National and Region Legislative personnel to promote National, Region, and local legislative agendas. |

NAS BEAUTIFICATION CONTINUES
Navy League continues efforts to beautify the outdoor recreation campground aboard NAS Kingsville. Anse Windham delivered a trailer load of wood chippings to the camp ground and Dick Nelson emptied the trailer and placed the wood mulch around trees that the Navy League had previously planted. |
