Kleberg Bank – First Community Business to step up to the Plate

As an expression of their community involvement and in support of our military families aboard NAS Kingsville and Training Air Wing 2, as well as the Navy League of the United States, Kleberg Bank was the first local Kingsville business to become a Community Affiliate member in the Kingsville Navy League.

Joe Henkel, President of Kleberg Bank, is very active in supporting the very close relationship of the Kingsville community and our military families. Joe and Kleberg Bank have pledged to support our local Navy League Council in Kingsville,

TX in its efforts to educate our citizens to support our sea services and to make our local military families feel welcome in our community.

This is a critical timeframe for Kingsville and Naval Air Station (NAS) Kingsville.  As you know, the Department of Defense is planning another round of base closures.  Strong support of the Navy, particularly the personnel assigned to NAS Kingsville, is a very important way for local residents and businesses to join the team working to ensure the Navy is happy in South Texas.

In addition, Navy League membership in Kingsville provides additional benefits by allowing you to join  Moral, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) aboard NAS Kingsville; providing access to the base and use of the gym, pool, and other MWR activities.

The Kingsville Navy League and Kleberg Bank hope other Kingsville businesses will take the challenge to become Community Affiliate members.  Please call Dick Messbarger at 592-6438 for additional details and your application.
