KCNL NAVY RELIEF CHECK DONATION |
|
Dick Nelson, President, and Dick Messbarger, 1st Vice President of the Kingsville Navy League Council, presented a Kingsville Navy League check in the amount of $300 to the NAS Kingsville Protestant Chaplain, Lt Gary Heatherly on October 4, 2004. The check was in response to the Chaplain's request to meet an emergency financial need of one of our own Kingsville sailors who has just become a parent within the last two months and needed help.
The Kingsville Navy League Council has an amount budgeted for "Navy relief" to meet the needs of our young sailors that are recommended by the base chaplain’s office. This is just one of the many ways that our Kingsville council tries to meet the needs of our Kingsville Navy families. |

KCNL NAVY MAKES SECOND DONATION TO NASK’S OPERATION SHIPMATE
Operation Shipmate is a base-wide food drive effort to help needy military members and their families during the Holiday season.
Individuals and Organizations were asked to collect canned goods and non-perishable items for the food drive. In addition to food baskets, Operation Shipmate will purchase food vouchers from donations.
Support of this effort will make a difference for some of our very own people.
If you have any questions, please call the Chaplain's Office at ext. 6631. |
