The Kingsville Navy League helps the H.M. King Band with their Fund Raising efforts.
Kingsville’s Navy League President, Dick Nelson, presents a check for $500 from the Kingsville Navy League in recognition of the bands hard work and dedication and being one of only 10 schools invited to participate at the Orange Bowl on 4 January 2005. These Kingsville youth have worked hard enough to gain national recognition and the Kingsville Navy League was able to help financially because the H.M. King Band helps support our Navy Base by playing at Change of Command ceremonies aboard NAS Kingsville, etc.
The Kingsville Band will be representing our City and all of South Texas by their participation at the Orange Bowl. Dick Nelson said that it is a pleasure for the Navy League to be able to help the band get to the Orange Bowl and encourages others in the community to also support these hard working and dedicated youth.
The Band has raised almost $100,000 dollars out of the $185,000 required and they have two fund raisers left. If you are interested in making a donation to support our communities youth, please contact Mr. Molina at the High School.
