The Navy League is trying to help get the word out on "Phoenix Care."
Dick Messbarger, Navy League First Vice President, is preparing his individual donation to operation "Phoenix Care." Dick Nelson, President of the Kingsville Navy League is holding a copy of the customs declaration form and candy to go into the package along with the sweat suit.
The organization called "Phoenix Care" is a project to collect donations and deliver them directly to wounded soldiers in the military hospital in Baghdad. Items to be donated can be mailed to LCDR Glenn Balog, NAS Kingsville's Public Works Officer, who recently volunteered for duty in Iraq. He and his associates are providing “Comfort" items to wounded soldiers in the Military hospital in Baghdad. |
