Kingsville Navy League President, Dick Nelson, presents a check from the Kingsville Navy League to Dr. Charles A. Clements, D.D.S.,M.A.G.D.  Dr. Clements, Sue Fetterman and the rest of his staff are acting as the central location for collecting these donations.

 

This very worthwhile project started because the dental office of Dr. Clements was looking for a way to “give back” to the community.  They try to do something every year.  They researched options on the internet and found Operation Uplink, sponsored by the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the VFW.  The dental office contacted them  and they suggested that the dental office team up with the local VFW Post.  The dental office organized the drive, and will turn over the money to the local VFW, who in turn will turn it over to Operation Uplink.

 

The goal is to provide as many soldiers in Iraq 30 minutes of phone card time and the Kingsville Navy League is very proud to support this worthwhile cause.

Text Box: TRI COUNCIL BOARD MEMBERS RECEIVE TRAINING IN CORPUS CHRISTI On Saturday, 4 December, the South Texas area of the Navy League conducted Board Member training concerning Federal regulations concerning 501.c.3 organizations. This was training offered for our Tri-council Board members from Kingsville, Corpus, and Ingleside. The Training was provided by Mr. Bill Waylett from National Navy League and was held at the Seaman's Center in Corpus Christi. A special thank you to our Board members who gave up a portion of their week-end to attend this very useful and valuable training.
