Happy New Year Banner

Dick “Bush Hog” Nelson, President, Kingsville Council of the Navy League.

FROM THE PRESIDENT - THANK YOU

The year 2004 was a productive one for the Kingsville Navy League Chapter.  This productivity was a direct result of a lot of hard work by our Board of Directors and involvement by businesses and individuals in our Community.

I want to personally thank each of our Board members for selfishly giving of your time and talent.  It is due to your commitment and hard work that our Council was able to offer a very high level of financial support to our local base, NAS Kingsville, and its men and women in uniform.

(continued on page 2—see Thank You)

Dick "Bush Hog" Nelson, Kingsville Navy League PresidentText Box: Joe and George Henkel graciously hosted our Kingsville Navy League quarterly "Pachanga" at their house on the evening of 27 Oct 2004.

Approximately 40 men and women from NAS Kingsville and TW-2 had a chance to meet with Kingsville navy League members in a ranch type environment and were served an authentic ranch hand supper.

Joe Henkel gave our guests a short and very interesting history lesson of the King ranch and this area of South Texas called the Wild Horse Desert. George Henkel was very gracious and gave tours of her beautiful house.
